Hello now the audio conference calls have moved a step ahead by providing the toll free numbers. Generally the tolls free numbers will be available only to some kind of customer services but now these numbers are also available for having the conference call service.

Let me explain you if you take the conference call service then you will be charges like this. You pay towards the service providers on minute basis like Rs. 3/- or Rs.2/- per minute per user. So if you have a conference for 20 minutes with 20 people on the call then you will be charged like this:

Number of participants: 30

Duration of the call: 20

Charge per minute: 2

So for 20 minutes for 20 participants: 20*30*2 = 1200

So you think that you are going to spend Rs.800/- per call but you actually neglect the bill which you pay to the service providers like BSNL or Airtel or any other. They might charge you Rs. 1/- per minute per user which is also paid by you. So the actual bill amount will be

Charge paid to the phone service providers: 20*30*1 = 600

Amount which you pay to conference calls: 1200

Total amount towards the end of the call: 1200 + 600 = 1800

So this will be the actual amount which you spend towards one call. So if you go for a toll free number then even if they charge on per minute on usage basis then also the bill will be less than what you pay to others. Let us take the same requirement as above but here per minute charge for the toll free number is Rs.2/- per minute per user. So if we calculate

Bill amount: 20*30*2 = 1200

So the amount you are going to save: 1800 – 1200 = 600

So you will be saving an amount of Rs.600/- per call and if you have ten calls then how much you can save you only calculate. The toll free number will always be a bonus for you. So better you ask your service providers for a toll free number than a normal dial in number.
